ARIA-nominated Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander continues her meteoric rise, following the release of her sophomore album RAGE, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart. Building on a remarkable run of major touring, acclaimed releases and growing international recognition, Kita has firmly established herself as one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary artists.
2025 marked a breakthrough year. Kita opened for global superstar Dua Lipa on the sold-out Australian and New Zealand leg of the Radical Optimism Tour, performed at The Great Escape in the UK, sold out her headline London show, and returned home for her national Press Pause Tour. Her single “Press Pause” earned an ARIA Award nomination, further solidifying her reputation as one of the country’s most compelling songwriters and performers. She was also announced as the face of Tourism & Events Queensland’s That Holiday Feeling campaign, which received an ARIA nomination for Best Use of an Australian Recording in an Advertisement.
Kita’s impressive catalogue of acclaimed pop anthems has garnered over 500 million global streams including Platinum and Gold-certified singles including “Hotel”, “Between You & I”, “Like You Want To” and “Damage Done”. Her songwriting has also reached global audiences through collaborations with artists including FISHER, Christopher, CYRIL, Morgan Evans and LAUREL. Her co-write with FISHER, “Atmosphere“, topped the US Radio Dance Chart, achieved double-Platinum certification and earned ARIA nominations for Song of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Release and Best Produced Release.
In 2024, Kita released her debut album Young in Love, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and was supported by a sold-out national tour. The record received widespread praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vogue, NME, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and RUSSH, while earning Kita a nomination for the ARIA Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award.
Released in June 2026, Kita returns with her sophomore album RAGE. Recorded live at Rockinghorse Studios in Byron Bay with Kita’s live show firmly in mind – ensuring the songs translate seamlessly to the stage. RAGE is a reclamation of self. After a lifetime of silencing her feelings and instincts to fit the societal mold expected of women, Kita reached her breaking point. Drawing inspiration from her own life and shared experiences of others, Kita sheds her good girl expectations, searches within and embraces her rage to meet her truest self.
Following its chart-topping debit, Kita is taking RAGE on the road with a headline tour across Australia, continuing to grow her audience and cement her reputation as one of Australia’s leading singer-songwriters.
