The unique BLOKBSTR sound is a dirty, fun and weird mix of Indie, Punk, Pop with an unruly splash of Dance Music poured on top.

That is bound to Happen when you’re influenced by music from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, DEVO, Yard Act, Get Down Services and Jagwar Ma.

Working out of their own studio in beachside Sydney, Jimmy and Sam write, perform, produce and mix, inspired by local culture and its need for expression and colour.

Since BLOKBSTR released their debut EP BLOKTAPES in 2024, they have played their chaotic live show around Australia. BLOK have supported notable acts such as Yard Act, Boo Seeka, The Terrys and Le Shiv.

First single “Apartment”, a song about the cost of living crisis facing young people in Australia, received rotation on the national Australian youth radio station Triple J. The next single ‘Ciao!’ was featured by Apple on a global iPad commercial in January 2025.

Since late 2025 they have been releasing a steady stream of singles that will culminate in the ‘BLOKTAPE 99’ 10 track mixtape in May 2026.

They will continue releasing singles shortly after that, leading up to another mixtape in late 2026.
