Isaiah Firebrace

Isaiah has an incredible story. He grew up in Echuca-Moama, a small town on the Murray River, experiencing hardships shared by so many kids in our our indigenous communities.

Armed with a dream and a voice, Isaiah has transformed his life from a small town singer to one of the highest streamed First Nations pop artist in the world. Along the way he’s won The X Factor, represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest (finishing 9th) and is signed to Sony Music Australia.

Isaiah’s debut single has broken records with ‘It’s Gotta Be You’ going Double Platinum in Australia, Platinum in Norway and Sweden and Gold in Denmark, and is now notching up over 280 million international streams. The song was one of the highest streamed songs from any Australian artist in 2017 and continues to break records. Isaiah’s incredible voice is seeing his releases collectively notching over 340 million streams at only 21 years of age and solidifying his place as Australia’s most successful First Nations male, pop artist.

Prior to the unprecedented events of COVID, Isaiah had just finished a national tour with his band including 50 shows and workshops with remote and regional indigenous communities across Australia. He was able to work with people on country across Australia, sharing his journey and showing that dreams can become real with hard work and self-belief. As part of the tour, Isaiah sang his original song ‘Spirit’ with children from communities challenged by hardship.

The milestones kept adding up for Isaiah across 2020 and 2021, who continues to perform on TV shows including The Masked Singer (Australia Season 2) and high-profile events across the country including feature artist at The Sydney Opera House on Australia Day where he sang live from The twelve Apostles in Victoria. A magic TV moment. Isaiah adds, “It’s still all a bit surreal for me,” says Isaiah. “I’m just this guy from a little country town, but if I can keep doing what I love to do and make other people happier, then I know I’m on the right path.”

Isaiah is also using his journey to petition for Aboriginal history to be taught in schools across Australia. This is something close to his heart and a project that can help bring Australia together. His petition is about to hit 300,000 signatures through Change.org. He recently took this petition to Canberra where it was tabled in Parliament, and the real discussion around educating our kids on the world’s oldest culture will now take place.

Backed by one of the best young touring bands in Australia led by Music Director David Taafua, Isaiah’s live show receives rave reviews. Isaiah takes his audiences on a journey through his original song releases (which can be heard on Spotify), as well as re-shaped covers and upbeat jams. Isaiah’s voice transcends emotion and genre, delivering a live show audiences never forget.

Isaiah has written and released some incredible songs this last year year. Isaiah’s latest song released in November ‘More Than Me’ celebrated 5 years since ‘Its Gotta Be You’ was released. It’s a love song for all the die hard romantics out there, the ultimate tear jerker. Isaiah wrote the song after the end of a relationship. It captures the pain, desperation and anguish we all go through in our lives when we lose someone special.

Isaiah has a National Tour on sale now through Capital Cities in March, April and May 2022 presented by Live Nation.
