In just a few short years Adrian Eagle has gone from writing music at home to playing festival main stages. After garnering widespread acclaim for his breakout singles ‘17 Again’ and ARIA nominated ‘A.O.K’, the Adelaide-bred singer-songwriter went on to feature on Hilltop Hoods’ ARIA Award winning single ‘Clark Griswold’, perform a sincere rendition of Ocean Alley’s ‘Confidence’ for triple j’s Like A Version, and release his debut EP ‘MAMA’.
Channeling his trademark sound, the ‘MAMA’ EP features ode to his hometown of Adelaide ‘Housing Trust’ and breakout single ‘17 Again’ which tells his journey of overcoming suicidal thoughts after weighing a life threatening 270kg at just 17 years old. The EP also features powerful positivity anthem ‘A.O.K’, which represents the message that kindness and love overcome adversity.
The ‘MAMA’ EP is Adrian’s life and experiences laid bare for the listener, an outlet to share his struggles with the world in the hope of helping others overcome whatever struggles they are facing in their lives. Produced in majority by Jerome Farah, ‘MAMA’ oozes in neo-soul traditions and classic hip-hop grooves layered under Adrian’s powerful emotive vocals and lyrical storytelling unlike anything else.
Unique, memorable and a personality Australia has fallen in love with, Adrian Eagle remains a force to be reckoned with.
