Fool Nelson

Fool Nelson are a three-piece indie rock trio comprised of two brothers and their best mate. Hailing from Boorloo/Perth WA, they have quickly made a name for themselves, packing out venues
with their energetic live show and a knack for writing catchy tunes. With those tunes, they’ve just sold out every single capital city on their debut national headline tour, and set to support Skegss
on their Australian tour.

Their most recent single ‘Don’t Feel Right’ was added to a plethora of editorial playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, hit Top 100 Shazam Charts across Australia, was #1 Most Played on triple j
for three weeks running in January 2025 when added to full rotation, and the band were listed as triple j’s ‘Feature Artist’ and added to the stations ‘One’s To Watch’ list in 2025. The station’s
Assistant MD, Claire Mooney touted the group as “one of the most exciting up and coming WA bands to be watching” when listed as their ‘Spotlight Artist’ around a previous release also added to
rotation.

Previously they took out triple j Unearthed’s competition to play at the iconic Groovin the Moo. Their two EP’s have a slew of editorial support at Spotify (Local Noise – Cover, Fresh Finds, Fresh
Finds Rock, The Local List and New Music Friday AU & NZ) and Apple Music (New Music Daily, New in Rock, Good Times, New Music Mix, Antidote, The Sound), and garnered support from Music Feeds, Happy Mag, AAA Backstage, music featured on ABC’s News Breakfast, plus music videos added to rage.

Backing up their sold-out headline at The Rechabite in Boorloo/Perth and three regional sold-out dates across Albany, Margaret River and Exmouth, the trio took flight supporting WA-mates Old Mervs across their jam-packed AU & NZ tour, and added in showcase sets at BIGSOUND along the way. The bands have nailed their position as support favs for Ball Park Music, The Grogans, Great Gable, The Rions, The Moving Stills and Ra Ra Viper over the years, notched fests HYPER FEST, Out & About Festival, Tone City Records Festival and NYE On The Hill.

Having played music together since they were kids, the boys have polished their own unique brand of grungey and emotive music that focuses on big choruses and heavy-hitting instrumentation. Taking influence from the 90’s and early 2000’s rock that they grew up listening to, there is an air of nostalgia to Fool Nelson’s music that is familiar but fresh.
